Our son Josh is in his pre-school year at “Tir na nOg”.  I think it’s every parent’s biggest fear sending your child off into the big bad world for the first time.  Within minutes of stepping foot in “Tir na nOg”, all those worries disappeared.  I loved it immediately and more importantly, so did Josh.

The bright colours and airy feel create a warm, safe and fun environment.  It’s very clear to see Pauline, Teresa and Eleanor are amazing with all the children and enjoy being with them.  They are also great for keeping the parents involved in their curriculum and we love to read Josh’s monthly report book which includes his work, his drawings and a detailed observation check which gives us a great insight into his day and how he relates to his classmates and teachers.  He also comes home regularly with lovely arts and crafts and even some educational gifts.  Within weeks of Josh being with Pauline and her team, he could write his own name.  He has several words in gaeilge and is constantly surprising us with interesting facts about different countries, changing seasons, animals and talks about how they feed the bird’s everyday and even came home with his own bird chart to spot birds in his own garden.

Pauline has brought the children on some lovely day trips and organised several classroom events.  We’ve always been welcomed at both.  We’ve been to Halloween storytelling, Christmas concert when even Santa paid a visit.  There has been a library trip, an outing to the local schools Christmas play followed by a little tour of “big school” where the vice-principal showed them what the classrooms were like and introduced them to the teachers.  We even enjoyed a day at the local schools St. Patricks Day Parade.  We are currently looking forward to our son’s Graduation day.

My husband and I would absolutely recommend “Tir na nOg” to others and will be sending Josh off to big school in September without any worries as we know Pauline and her team have totally prepared him and helped him blossom and grow into a very confident, happy little boy who will be ready to take on the world
